Breathing Activities You Can Do Before, During,
or After a Workout

Diaphragmatic Breathing: Inhale deeply through the nose, expanding the abdomen. Exhale slowly through the mouth, contracting the abdomen.

Pursed-Lip Breathing: Inhale through the nose, then purse the lips and exhale slowly.

Box Breathing: Inhale for 4 counts, hold for 4 counts, exhale for 4 counts, and hold for 4 counts.
